Description:
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make a few different types of zines using several folding techniques. Then, you’ll get to design your own zine using drawing, painting, hand-lettering, writing, etc.
This is a hands-on, in-person activity where participants will learn a few different ways of folding and arranging a zine and then will get a chance to make an edition of their own hand-designed zine. At the end of class, we hold a zine swap, so participants will leave with several copies of their own work, as well as zines from other participants. We will provide all materials needed to make the zines, but will require access to a photocopier.
This program is limited to 12 participants.
This LA Made program was made possible with the generous support of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
