Description:

Improve your English speaking, reading, and writing at any age! Caregivers and children are invited to our new language-building class for all ages. Kids will learn through reading and playing with our Story Telling And Reading (STAR) volunteers. Adults will get a one-on-one lesson with an Adult Literacy Walk-In Tutor.

All teaching will be in English. Adults without children are welcome, and will be prioritized from 4 to 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact robertsonliteracy@lapl.org.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
