Our featured speaker will be Beverly Higginson. Born in Vancouver and raised in Los Angeles, Beverly majored in drama at Cal State L.A. Though she has received three acting awards, she has never won the Oscar of her childhood dreams.
A lifelong writer, Beverly has published prose in The Sun, Income Opportunities, and Inscape Literary Magazine, and poems in Spectrum #13 and Changes - The Green Poets Anthology. She has written and published biographies of both her husband and her father, and is currently working on a memoir. She describes poetry writing as a challenge: "Those who do it well have a special gift." Beverly and her husband live in Eagle Rock.
