Description:

Join FOCAL (Friends of Children and Literature) for their presentation of the 2024 FOCAL Award to Cookies & Milk by Shawn Amos. Mr. Amos will talk about his writing process and the inspiration behind the book, and the winners of the FOCAL Essay contest will share their essays. A reception will follow.

This program is intended for adults and children ages 8 and up.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
