Description:

How can we work together to transform our world into a utopia? What would our collective utopia look like? Join artist Ellen Harvey in this collaborative, collage-making workshop to create a public version of The Utopia Machine—a large-scale fictional patent drawing being showcased in the No Prior Art: Illustrations of Invention exhibit at the Central Library.

Learn more about Ellen, her past work, and her process for creating The Utopia Machine for No Prior Art. Participants will embrace the power of collective imagination, building upon each other's contributions to create a communal artwork that reflects our shared vision for the future. All supplies will be provided.

The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.
