Start the LAPL Bioblitz off right by experience marine life up-close and personal with live tidepool animals, specimens and colorful puppets from special guest Blue Submarine. Marvel at preserved sharks and live tidepool animals include a variety of sea stars among many other animals. Learn how to help the animals that live in the sea to live long happy lives.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
