Spanish Sin Pena
Wendy Ramirez is the founder of Spanish Sin Pena and has more than 20 years of experience teaching. She is passionate about seeing students grow and achieving their goals. She earned a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from the University of California at Berkeley. Wendy’s family is from El Salvador and Mexico. She is a proud native of East L.A. She has worked in the U.S. Congress as an advocate for immigration reform and throughout Latin America promoting more inclusive governments. She worked and lived in D.C. and enjoys designing, dancing, traveling and learning Portuguese.
Jackleen Rodriguez is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Spanish Sin Pena, aka the Social Media Bruja! She is a proud first-generation Latina to Mexican parents who decided to take an unconventional path to build her own program with her good friend Wendy Ramirez. With her background in non-profit work, and art and communications experience gained at a health advocacy organization that worked to support immigrant families, she's now been able to apply her creative and community skills on another level with Spanish Sin Pena!
