I think that the Latinx Photography Project provides a wonderful example of how libraries play a crucial role in communities. Our public libraries have a wealth of resources that enable our people to dream of a new reality and celebrate their achievements.
How did you feel the first time your work was published? How was your publishing journey?
When I heard the news that the film will air on PBS starting in September, it was such a validating experience, since it takes so much effort these days to produce a piece that stands out. The fact that I'm able to reach people outside of film festivals, conferences, and private screenings is one of my proudest achievements.
