About the Film

The Fire This Time, a standout at the Sundance Film Festival, documents L.A.'s turbulent history following the large migration of African Americans from the South to California only to experience institutionalized racism limiting their economic opportunities. The resulting simmering tensions reached a boiling point in 1965 sparking the Watts Rebellion. Run time: 90 minutes.
