Ancient Homelands: Indigenous Music of North America
About the Event
An interactive program for all ages, in English and in Spanish. Martin Espino will invite you to sing in Native Languages of indigenous peoples as well as play authentic ancient percussion instruments.
The audience is gently motivated to play from a vast collection of native percussion and singing "easy-to-sing-songs" in languages such as Maya, Dine, Xingu and Nahuatl. Plus, learn more about the music, culture, geography, language, and history of the area.
