About the Event
To celebrate the Central Library’s 100th anniversary, let's learn how to bind our own accordion-style artist book. This simple, experimental binding uses book board and book cloth, and is great for art books. No stitching is needed, just glue. Your finished book can be a sketchbook, planner, or gift. We'll briefly cover the history of bookbinding, then make covers, wrap them, and glue everything together. Optional ribbon bindings are available. Perfect for beginners, no experience needed.
For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event.
