Health Insurance: What You Need to Know

If you are uninsured and you are a California resident, you may visit the Covered California Website or call for assistance over the phone. Covered California will help you determine whether you qualify for MediCal or subsidies.
If you are a Los Angeles resident and you want to find out more about Medi-Cal, visit the LA County Department of Health Services or sign-up online via the Department of Social Services.

Are you turning 65 and interested in enrolling in Medicare? Are you a Medicare member with questions about Medicare? Visit  Medicare.gov.

If you are not from California or if you just want to learn more about the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in general, visit the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Social Security Express
Save a trip to the Social Security Office. By using Social Security Express you can apply for benefits, get your Social Security Statement, request a replacement Medicare card, get a 1099/1042 tax form, change your address and more.

My Health LA (MHLA) provides primary health care at no cost to eligible residents of Los Angeles County. MHLA is not insurance. MHLA is a health care program for the uninsured (and un-insurable) residents of Los Angeles. For more information, click here.
