Amityville and Beyond: Ghosts, Hauntings, and other Halloween Horrors Event

Join us via Zoom as the West Valley Regional Branch celebrates Halloween with a discussion about ghosts, hauntings, and things that go bump in the night with four celebrated horror writers!

Author Robert P. Ottone will be discussing his new novel, Amityville Awakens, and will be joined by Michael Cisco, Eric J. Guignard, and Erik Hanson.

Participating authors:

Michael Cisco is an American weird fiction writer, Deleuzian academic and a teacher, currently living in New York City. He is best known for his first novel, The Divinity Student, winner of the International Horror Guild Award for Best First Novel of 1999.

Eric J. Guignard is an author and anthologist of dark and speculative fiction, operating from the shadowy outskirts of Los Angeles, where he also runs the small press Dark Moon Books. He’s twice won the Bram Stoker Award, won the Shirley Jackson Award, and been a finalist for the World Fantasy Award and International Thriller Writers Award. His latest fiction collection is A Graveside Gallery: Tales of Ghosts and Dark Matters. 

Author Erik Hanson is a lifelong fan of the horror genre. He wrote his first novel, Death Machine, during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since completed his follow-up vampire novel, Wake the Mariner, which will be out this December. In addition to writing, he is a musician and host of the horror movie podcast Cradle to the Grave. He lives in Sacramento, California, with his family.

Robert P. Ottone is a two-time Bram Stoker Award winning author from Long Island. He is the author of the novels Amityville Awakens, The Vile Thing We Created, The Triangle, There's Something Sinister in Centerfield, and the collections Tear Me Open, Fears Unwrapped, and Her Infernal Name & Other Nightmares. He lives in upstate New York with his wife, where he enjoys cigars, video games, film and a good cocktail.
