LA Made Presents: Japanese Taiko Drumming

Please note! This program will be held outside, under shady trees, in front of the Van Nuys Branch Library main entrance. Chairs will be available for comfortable seating for all attendees. All ages are welcome!

This program introduces audiences of all ages to Japanese taiko drumming in three ways:

• Performances of traditional and contemporary repertoire.
• Presentations on the history and cultural significance of taiko drums.
• An interactive element where audience members learn taiko rhythms and play them on the drums.
