About the Event

Free income tax preparation and filing by Koreatown Youth + Community Center (KYCC) through the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Tax forms we prepare are: Form 1040 (U.S. Individual Income Tax Return), CA Form 540 (California Resident Income), and Form 1040NR (Nonresident Income Tax Return).  Both spouses must be present for joint returns.

What to bring on the day of your visit:

  • A valid CA Driver's License, ID, or Passport
  • Social Security NUmbers or ITINs for Taypayer, spouse, and dependents
  • All income forms such as the following: W-2 and 1099s, Social Security (SSA-1099)
  • Unemployment compensation (form 1099G)
  • Pensions, stocks, interest, etc.
  • Self-employed or make Schedule C (Collect records of all your income & expenses)
  • Form 1095-A Health Insurance Marketplace Statement
  • All records of other expenses such as tuition, student loan interest, mortgage interest, etc., form 1098
  • Bank routing & account numbers to direct deposit any refund
