Description:

Three distinguished authors, Teresa Mei Chuc, Alicia Viguer-Espert, and Lisbeth Coiman, share their journeys from their respective homelands (Vietnam, Spain, and Venezuela) to America. Dr. Thelma T. Reyna, PhD, will moderate a round-robin discussion about the authors’ personal stories, visions, dreams, and experiences as each left their original culture and started a new life in the U.S. Afterwards, the authors will read excerpts from their prose or poetry.

Though they come from distinct backgrounds, their powerful, moving writing reminds us that we all embody similar values, hopes and goals for what it means to be part of a harmonious, inclusive, just, respectful society.

A Q&A with the audience will follow the reading. Books will be available for sale and signing at the end of the program.
