Description:

In honor of the season of thanks, local children’s author and educator Dan McCauley will read aloud from his Thank You, World series published by Free Spirit Publishing. Through lyrical storytelling, the Thank You, World series invites young readers to discover the calming effect of slowing down and the wonder of being outdoors with people we love. And in a special connection to our community, one of the first stories in the series, Thank You, Night, was inspired by walks in Mar Vista!

After the reading, kids and their families will take part in a gratitude activity, where children can share what they’re thankful for and create a keepsake to take home.
