Description:

Join us in honoring the Dorothy Vena Johnson Black History Collection, established by Miriam Matthews, the first African American librarian for the Los Angeles Public Library, as we welcome it to its new home at the Baldwin Hills Branch. This move ensures greater visibility, access, and long-term stewardship of this vital Black history collection.
