Do you want to create your own archives or oral history project but don't know where to begin? Start your journey at the library today.

Explore the new DIY archiving resources available at LAPL branches! You can reserve time with the Epson Expression 13000XL to scan photographs, negatives, and more. Learn how you can check out an oral history backpack, with a Zoom recorder and guide to help you get started on your own archiving project.

Join us for a virtual info session to learn about these resources, related programming, and ask us about personal archiving. No prior knowledge or experience with an archival scanner or Zoom recorder necessary–we will learn together!

The program link will be sent 24 hours prior to the event.

For a more hands-on session, join one of our in-person sessions at the Arroyo Seco Regional Branch, Junipero Serra Branch, and North Hollywood Regional Branch Libraries. More information and program calendar at lapl.org/community.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
