We Read Together

StoryWalks®

StoryWalks® are a fun and innovative way to engage young readers and encourage activities that build early literacy skills, such as talking, reading, singing, writing, and playing.

Explore the world, move your body, and read a story at the same time! StoryWalks® are a fun and innovative way to engage young readers and encourage activities that build early literacy skills like talking, reading, singing, writing, and playing.

Find a StoryWalk® near you and follow the pages of a children’s book placed on signs along a trail or path. After your visit, share your StoryWalk® experience on social media with the hashtag #StoryWalkLAPL. StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont.

If you have any questions or would like to partner with the library to have a StoryWalk of your own
