Becoming Beatriz

Beatriz and her brother, Junito, were brought to New Jersey from Puerto Rico by their mother in hopes of escaping a life filled with violence. However, to make ends meet the siblings join a gang that leads to the death of Junito by a rival Haitian gang and the end of her dreams to become a professional dancer. Join Beatriz as she takes on a journey to pick up the pieces of her life and those around her.
