Instructor Krystle Mary Krueger is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising with a degree in Fashion Design. She has worked as a designer since 2015, with her designs sold globally. After welcoming her daughter in 2018, she shifted focus to launch her children's wear line, Fashion Is Art. She is now working on a new women's wear collection set to launch this year.

The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.
