When a small white lie about losing her virginity spreads, clean-cut high schooler Olive Penderghast, played by Emma Stone, decides to use the school’s rumor mill to boost her social status. Inspired by The Scarlet Letter, she embraces her new, scandalous reputation in this sharp and hilarious modern comedy. The film is rated PG-13 for mature themes involving sexual behavior and language.
