End of Life Planning 101: Planning With Young People in Mind

About the Event

The End-of-Life Planning 101 workshop series is designed to help individuals understand, navigate, and take action on key end-of-life planning topics. Facilitated by the PAUSE team and rotating BIPOC death doulas and guest speakers, each 90-minute session offers education, grounding, and space for questions around essential documents and decisions - from advance directives and wills to body disposition, digital legacy, and grief plans for loved ones. Whether participants are just beginning to think about end-of-life planning or need support updating existing paperwork, this series provides compassionate, culturally relevant guidance to approach these conversations with clarity, care, and confidence.

Session Focus: Planning with Young People in Mind

This session explores important planning considerations for parents, caregivers, and families with children or other young loved ones. Participants will learn about guardianship, caregiving, and intergenerational planning, including how to document their wishes using guardianship forms and family planning documents. By the end of the session, participants will have the tools to make informed decisions that provide stability, care, and support for future generations.
