Floral Embroidery Workshop With Nova Community Arts

About the Event

Join us in celebrating Central Library's 100th birthday by learning the delicate art of floral embroidery. Learn the basics of hand embroidery, a classic craft that has been practiced worldwide for many years and was especially popular about 100 years ago! We will learn and practice several of the most commonly used stitches and use them to create a floral design. We will also cover setting up a thread and an embroidery hoop. We will provide a cotton bandana for embroidery.

 Ages 13+

Workshop is limited to 15 participants. Please call 323-224-0039 to reserve a spot.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event.
