Explore the magic behind the movies with The VFX Club!

A fun, inspiring look at how creativity and community are shaping the future of visual effects. Join The VFX Club for “The Future of Visual Effects: Diversity, Innovation, and Community Empowerment,” a conversation about how art and technology come together to shape the movies and shows we love. This program will highlight how visual effects are created, how innovation drives creativity, and how community and diversity are helping open doors for the next generation of artists. Perfect for students, families, and anyone curious about the magic behind the screen, this event invites you to explore how imagination and inclusion build the future of storytelling.

The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
