Author Sara Kehaulani Goo discusses her memoir, Kuleana: A Story of Family, Land, and Legacy in Old Hawaiʻi, the story of her family’s effort to hold onto ancestral land on Maui. At its heart, the book explores generational land loss, identity, and what it means to carry cultural responsibility while living far from home.
