Visible Mending Workshop With the Punk Rock Marthas

Don't discard your ripped and torn clothes! Our visible mending workshop will highlight clever ways to repair garments and turn those imperfections into eye-catching design elements. Participants will learn some basic embroidery techniques, how to sew or iron on a patch, and other ornamental hacks for masking damage on textiles.

We encourage attendees to bring one clothing item with a tear. Alternatively, you may also bring an item you no longer wear—like a denim jacket—and embellish it with some flair.
