The Art of Queer Zines
About the Event
Dive into the rich history of LGBTQ+ self-publication and its role in the queer liberation movement in this hands-on zine-making workshop and mini history lecture. Queer zinesters in love, Rachel and Candace, will discuss the history of LGBTQ zine-making and invite participants to create their own zines inspired by this history and guided by prompts. Get inspired by Rachel and Candace's personal zine collection, and create original mini zines.
Materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring supplies or images they wish to use as well. Queer joy, queer rage, and everything in between; let it all out in your cut-and-paste zine!
