Plot
A wealthy old woman is murdered, and evidence is deliberately arranged to implicate Joseph Heurtin, a mentally limited deliveryman. Maigret suspects that the obvious culprit has been framed and begins investigating the real motive behind the crime.
It is an important early Maigret film and one of the first screen adaptations of Simenon’s detective.
