Coming This August

Late Fame by Arthur Schnitzler

Eduard Saxberger has spent most of his long, quiet life working in an office. One day, he is stopped by a young man who claims to be a fan of the poetry book Saxberger published in his youth. Suddenly surrounded by a group of young admirers, he is pulled into the world of these aspiring writers, and his life takes a drastic turn. The film adaptation of Arthur Schnitzler’s posthumously published novella Late Fame will be released in theaters on August 7, 2026.

Magic Faraway Tree series by Enid Blyton

After moving to the country, three siblings discover their house sits next to an enchanted wood. When they ignore the advice of the elves on the forest floor and climb to the top of the Faraway Tree, they find themselves transported to strange and magical lands. Enid Blyton’s beloved children’s novel The Enchanted Wood is the first in a series of four charming novels. 

Starring Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy, the film adaptation will be released on August 21, 2026.

The Dog Stars by Peter Heller

A global pandemic leaves a pilot stranded with just his dog, his plane, and his misanthropic neighbor. When he catches a singular radio transmission, he is determined to leave his safe but constricting life to see what might be left of the world at large. Starring Jacob Elordi and Josh Brolin, the film adaptation of Peter Heller’s bestselling The Dog Stars will premiere in theaters on August 28, 2026.
