About the Event

Want to see Griffith Park after dark? Join LA Parks ecologists and rangers for a spooky evening hike exploring the park’s ecology, history, nocturnal wildlife, and eerie local stories.

Meeting Location:  Travel Town Museum Parking Lot - 5200 Zoo Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027 (Check-in begins at 6:15 PM)

Before you come:

What to Bring: 

  • Comfortable gear and walking shoes, long sleeves, etc. Check the weather and dress accordingly.
  • Costumes are encouraged, as long as they are safe and comfortable for walking.
  • Water
  • Bug or mosquito repellent
  • A flashlight, preferably with a red light setting to help preserve night vision and minimize disturbance to wildlife. 
  • Bring a fully charged phone or tablet with the iNaturalist app installed and your account set up

The hike follows a mostly paved path with a slight incline and may include a surprise scare along the way.
