Hunger / Hambre is a whimsical yet dark short play that starts in 1940s Jalisco, Mexico, on a barren ranch. Told with masks, puppetry, and no words, the story follows a young boy who dreams of a life free from hunger. His journey weaves magical realism with the harsh realities of rural life, exploring themes of survival, resilience, and the unquenchable hunger of the heart.
Written, conceived and directed by Estela Garcia.

Hambre / Hambre es una obra corta, caprichosa pero oscura, que comienza en la década de 1940 en Jalisco, México, en un rancho árido. Contada con máscaras, títeres y sin palabras, la historia sigue a un niño que sueña con una vida libre de hambre. Su viaje entrelaza el realismo mágico con las duras realidades de la vida rural, explorando temas de supervivencia, resiliencia y el hambre insaciable del corazón.
