About the Event

Before children can learn to read, they need healthy smiles! Join Erika Gist, an experienced senior health educator from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Oral Health Program for a fun, interactive oral health program designed for young children and their families. Through an engaging story, hands-on brushing demonstration, and parent-friendly education, families will learn why a child's first dental visit should happen by age one, how to build healthy oral care habits early, and the important connection between oral health and overall health. Each session includes a kid-friendly oral health story, a live brushing demonstration, helpful take-home resources, and oral hygiene kits.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
