Norigae Decoration Workshop
About the Event
Join the Los Angeles Public Library's Art, Music, and Recreation Department for a norigae decoration workshop. Learn to make norigae with a kit! The kit will include instructions on three basic knots that can be used to make beautiful and intricate decorations. Also included will be materials and zines on norigae history and other uses.
Learn about Korean culture and participate in a traditional cultural heritage! RSVP to assemble a norigae craft as part of a hands-on workshop in the Art Department on Thursday August 13, 2026 from 2-3 PM. Or just stop by between Thursday August 13th and 22nd, and bring the kit home as a take-and-make; while supplies last. The workshop is hosted in collaboration with the Los Angeles Public Library's Diversity and Inclusion Apprenticeship as part of a capstone research project.
