About the Event

In this rambunctious holiday horror-comedy, a boy accidentally summons a fearsome Christmas demon – the Krampus (2015, rated PG-13) of Teutonic lore.

Young Max is unhappy with the bickering, cynicism and commercialism of his parents (Adam Scott and Toni Collette) and the rest of his dysfunctional family, as even more annoying relatives and their pets pile into the home for the holidays. When his cousins find his letter to Santa and mockingly read it aloud to everyone, Max decides he hates Christmas, and tears up his list and throws it out the window. But Krampus is listening – the ancient midwinter demon who comes to punish naughty children and unbelievers. Soon a dark, horned, hairy presence is stalking family members, leaving murderous gifts and animating gingerbread cookies into an army of evil. As Krampus lays siege to the home, the Engels realize that they can only save themselves from a gory fate by banding together as a family. Fans of Joe Dante’s Gremlins and other ‘80s screwball nasties will enjoy this.
