About the Event

Violinist Laura Gamboa and pianist Cathy Yang, both Doctor of Musical Arts candidates at the USC Thornton School of Music, will beguile us with Classics & Hidden Treasures. Come along on a musical journey through time and space from Paris in the 18th and 19th centures to a jazz club in Cleveland. Discover collaborations and friendships that sparked musical creation, as well as the masterworks that continue to inspire the art of collaborative music-making.

All Second Saturday concerts take place in the Westwood Library reading room in the alcove next to the balcony while the library is open.

A heartfelt thanks go to our co-sponsors: The Friends of Westwood Branch Library, Los Angeles Musical Salon, the Rosalind and Arthur Gilbert Foundation, Westwood Neighborhood Council, Belmont Village Senior Living, Westwood Homeowners Association, and Opera Buffs.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
