About the Event
Machine maintenance is at the heart of best practices for magnetic tape-based media preservation. This workshop is a hands-on course for cleaning consumer VCRs, including tape heads and the tape path.
Participants will also review ways to identify and clean mold from VHS tapes, as well as other types of deterioration, to prevent unwanted playback issues and cross-contamination.
