About the Event

Explore the DIY archiving resources available at the Arroyo Seco Branch Library! You can reserve time with the Epson Expression 13000XL to scan photographs, negatives, and more. Learn how you can check out an oral history backpack, with a Zoom recorder and guide to help you get started on your own archiving project.

Join us in the community room to learn about these resources. In-person sessions are hands-on, with opportunity for guided demonstrations around a specific focus area listed below.

July 14 – oral histories/audio
July 21 – photo preservation
August 4 – letters, scrapbooks, zines

Drop in any time between 3pm and 4pm on the first & third Tuesday of each month. No prior knowledge or experience with an archival scanner or Zoom recorder necessary. Collage & paper materials available at each session for a screen free interlude in your day.

This is an in-person program. For virtual programs, RSVP on our Eventbrite page.

The Los Angeles Public Library offers this workshop as part of Community: Your Archive, Your Legacy, an initiative supported by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and funded by the Mellon Foundation.
