End of Life Planning 101: Wills vs. Trusts

About the Event

The End-of-Life Planning 101 workshop series is designed to help individuals understand, navigate, and take action on key end-of-life planning topics. Facilitated by the PAUSE team and rotating BIPOC death doulas and guest speakers, each 90-minute session offers education, grounding, and space for questions around essential documents and decisions - from advance directives and wills to body disposition, digital legacy, and grief plans for loved ones. Whether participants are just beginning to think about end-of-life planning or need support updating existing paperwork, this series provides compassionate, culturally relevant guidance to approach these conversations with clarity, care, and confidence.

Session Focus: Wills vs. Trusts

This session covers the differences between wills and trusts, including how each can help protect assets, avoid probate, and ensure your wishes are carried out. Participants will gain the knowledge and tools to begin or update an estate plan that meets their needs.
