Graphic Novel Author Panel With Cherish Chen, Shannon Watters, & Branden Boyer-White
Sat, Oct 31 2026
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Online event hosted by Westwood Branch Library
About the Event
Join the Westwood Library to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Cookies and Comics Graphic Novel Club! This in-person event honors a decade of the LAPL-hosted graphic novel club, which is designed for and by adults and teens aged 16 and up.
We invite you to participate in a discussion with our panel of industry professionals: Shannon Watters from Lumberjanes, Branden Boyer-White from Hollow, and Cherish Chen from Star Wars: Doctor Aphra - Chaos Agent.
We will have a cookie exchange, so please bring your favorite baked treats to share! We also encourage you to bring dishes for our comic community potluck. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow adults who enjoy graphic novels of all genres. There will be plenty of time for questions as well. We hope to see you there!
We will stream the author panel to the Westwood Library via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. Please email wwood@lapl.org to request a link.
And if you can, attend the "Think It, Ink It: Comic Basics" workshop earlier in the day at 11 a.m.
For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
