Master Slave Husband Wife by Ilyon Woo tells the true story of an enslaved couple, Ellen and William Craft, who daringly escaped from slavery in Georgia by disguising themselves as master and slave, with Ellen passing as a wealthy white man and William posing as his servant, allowing them to travel freely across the country to reach freedom in the North.
