About the Event

Join us as author Lisa Gilmour talks about her book, Life Without Reservations: Growing Up at the Famed Ambassador Hotel 1921-1938. Gilmour's book tells the story of her mother, Carlyn Frank, who called the Ambassador Hotel home in its heyday. Gilmour shares the story of her mother's extraordinary life, rubbing elbows with Hollywood's famous actors, wealthy tourists, foreign dignitaries—even US Presidents—and how she helped shape the story of one of Los Angeles' most legendary landmarks.
