LA Made Presents: A Celebration of Taiwanese Music

About the Event
Jessica Chen (violin) and Henry Chen (cello) present a musical duo performance that showcases the beauty and diversity of music representing Taiwan and the Taiwanese diaspora. Musical selections include Taiwanese Mandopop (Mandarin pop) and Taiwanese folk songs, including those originally sung in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese Hokkien, and Taiwanese aboriginal languages. The duo will also perform a medley from the DreamWorks TV show Abominable and the Invisible City, written by LA-based Taiwanese-American composer George Shaw and representative of the vibrant Taiwanese-American community in Los Angeles.
