Test: Notification Message Types
Navigation & Setup
To create a new notification, follow these steps in the CMS:
- Go to the Top Menu.
- Select Notification message.
- You will see the List of notifications.
- Fill in the Labels field (this is the name of your notification).
Notification Types
Choose the appropriate format based on where the message needs to appear:
- In Page: Displays within the body of a specific page.
- Closure: Specially formatted for building or branch closures.
- Site Header: Displays prominently at the very top of the website across multiple pages.
Alert Types & Usage Guidelines
Use the color-coded alert types strictly according to the urgency of the situation:
🟢 Status (Green)
- Usage: For general, non-urgent information or standard updates.
- Frequency: Not often used.
🟠Warning (Orange)
- Usage: For upcoming, planned events or disruptions.
- Standard Context: Used in tandem with Site Headers to announce upcoming planned branch or library closures.
🔴 Error (Red)
- Usage: For critical, real-time disruptions.
- Standard Context: Used to announce an in-progress branch closure (e.g., sudden emergencies, maintenance, or active unexpected closures).
