Investing Basics

In this workshop, the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Los Angeles will discuss basic investing concepts, emphasizing the importance of understanding risk tolerance and distinguishing between saving and investing based on financial goals and time horizons. They will also guide participants through creating an Investment Policy Statement (IPS), building a diversified portfolio and talk about avoiding common pitfalls such as market timing and lack of diversification.
