El Día de Muertos With Martin Espino
About the Event
Martin Espino uses music and poetry to teach about this beautiful cultural celebration. He will play from a huge collection of instruments, and he'll have the audience singing "easy-to-sing-songs" in native languages like Nahuatl, Huichol, and Maya. He will also read the poetry of King Nezahualcoyotl (1402-1472), whose writings teach the value of life and doing the best we can while here on Earth. A very uplifting and endearing program dedicated to all our loved ones who have passed on. All ages.
This program is presented by the Friends of the Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library.
