LA Made: Composting 101

About the Event

Composting is a powerful climate solution with many avenues for adoption, making it one of the simplest and most accessible changes to implement. Come learn how you can embrace this new habit, or hone your skills further! Attendees will leave with an in-depth understanding of composting concepts and terminology, enabling them to meaningfully engage in this eco-movement.

Compostable LA is a women-owned community composter in Los Angeles, closing the loop by keeping food scraps within the city of L.A. Food scraps are collected and transported to urban farms no more than ten miles from the source of generation, reducing emissions and keeping that valuable resource local.

This program is made possible by the LA Made Fund.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
