The Annenberg Gallery displays some of the extraordinary materials collected by the Los Angeles Public Library since its founding in 1872.
The Cinerama Dome (1963) shown at the time of its opening. The geodesic dome, built as a prototype Cinerama, a widescreen projection process, was threatened with demolition in 1998.
