    This year is an important year for our nation. We want to encourage all eligible Californians to register to vote and cast a ballot. Registration deadline to vote in the November 8 election is October 24. We can help! Voter registration and nonpartisan programs on ballot measures are available at your local library.

    Filmmaker Sandra Robbie presents her Emmy award-winning documentary Mendez vs. Westminster: For All the Children/Para Todos los Ninos about the groundbreaking civil rights case that ended school segregation in California in 1947. After the 30 minute film, Ms. Robbie will lead a discussion about the case and her upcoming project promoting peace and community engagement.
